A graduate of Glasgow School of Art (GSA), Mairie Aitken is a renowned established Scottish painter. Landscape, still life and people figure in her work, which for the most part is carried out in acrylic and gouache. Her colours are vibrant with a strong Mediterranean feel throughout her colour, foreign landscapes and subject matter.
